Santa’s Delivery

There are packages ready go.
Gifts lying on Santa's floor.
They lie there just a waiting
to be sent out Santa's door.
They each have a tag and a name.
Their destiny is to a needing place.
Their journey ends up under a tree
to a child's smiling face.
The flight that night is long
and the chore he does is hard.
It is much harder than sending
a simple store bought Christmas card.
Santa must travel all of the land
giving gifts to good girls and boys.
With his sleigh pulled with reindeer
he delivers all the toys.
Down many a chimney he must go.
He goes back up with a touch to his nose.
He climbs in his sleigh saying Merry Christmas to all
then off in the night he goes.
